Looking for a CPR/BLS course? I’m certified to teach BLS, CPR, heart saver, choking, and AED through the American Heart Association (AHA) Upon completion of the four hour course, you will be registered and certified through AHA. My regular classes are being held at the Lexington County Recreation and Aging Commission Center at: 213 Barr Road in Lexington, SC. However, I am able to come to you for groups of 2-8 people. I also offer BLS Recertification as requested.
The lessons included in this four-hour class are: CPR (infant, child, adult), Choking, and the use of the AED (Automated External Defibrillator) There will be hands-on practice with infant and adult manikins, as well as a training AED. In order to become certified through the American Heart Association, each student must pass the written exam with a 84%.
CLASS DETAILS AND FEES
My classes are small (6-8 students) which provides more one-on-one training and hands-on practice. I will make sure that you leave my class feeling comfortable about providing CPR to a bystander in the event of an emergency.
Fees are $60/student *must be over 14 to have AHA certification. Discount rate of $50/student applies to first responders, veterans, and healthcare workers. Teens are $40 but must be 14-18 years older to be certified. These fees include the card registration for the American Heart Association (AHA). Payments need to be made at time of reservation through online booking or directly. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to class to receive a refund of payment.
During this time we are observing COVID sanitary requirements and safety precautions. I ask that each student wear a mask to class which may be removed while testing. Each manikin will be cleaned and lungs replaced during and between classes. Each student will also be given a disposable face mask (training) valve.
